Adelaide fans are in for a treat, with the 2017-18 NBL season kicking off with a 36ers home game against Melbourne United at Titanium Security Arena on Thursday, 5 October 2017.
The 36ers fared well out of the NBL schedule released today, with their home fixture featuring the first ever Christmas Eve match, as well as six Saturday games.
Adelaide 36ers Chief Executive Officer Guy Hedderwick is pleased with his club’s draw.
“It’s fantastic to be chosen to launch the 2017-18 NBL season in Adelaide and we’re looking forward to starting the season with a bang,” Hedderwick said.
“We’re excited to have six Saturday home games, which is sure to delight our fans.”
The 36ers will also play three Thursday night home games during the school holidays, as well as two Sunday games.
The 2017-18 NBL season is set to be one to remember, with a special heritage month in January to mark the 40th anniversary of the NBL, as well as two New Year’s Eve games and a Boxing Day game.
Times for games will be released shortly and the schedule is subject to change. All games will be broadcast live on Fox Sports.
