Adelaide 36ers and Boomers forward Nick Marshall said he’s itching for another opportunity to represent his country after the FIBA World Cup qualifiers against Bahrain and Kazakhstan.

Marshall scored his first two points as a Boomer and had two rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in his eight minutes of court time.

“It was sick, I had a lot of fun,” he said.

“It was really cool to be a part of that group and see what it’s all about and learn from some experienced guys that have been to the Olympics.

“Spending every day with each other, eating meals and doing everything together.

“Having that Boomers culture and learning what it’s about, as well as some past Boomers player coming in and speaking on their experience was cool.”

Marshall got his first taste of Boomers action on Friday against Bahrain before his first points came against Kazakhstan.

“I was just happy to be a part of the team, and I got the experience out on the court, that was sick,” he said.

“I got that dunk, my first points as a Boomer which was cool.

“Hopefully I get to put it on another time.”

Marshall said his dunk was a personal highlight, with that forever being his first points in the green and gold.

“I was just making sure it went in, I got the steal and thought I’m dunking this as soon as I got it,” he said.

“I was itching to get on, I just wanted to get out there, everyone was having fun and I wanted to be a part of it.”
