Adelaide 36ers captain Mitch McCarron has one goal in mind with the West Adelaide Bearcats - winning.

McCarron has his eyes set on getting the Bearcats back to the top of the NBL1 Central table, and he's keen to be doing it alongside a close mate.

“I’m excited, I get to play alongside Anthony Drmic again, there’s a rich history at the club,” he said.

“I want to be apart of getting that group back to first place.

“They haven’t been where they need to be in the recent years."

McCarron is excited to be sharing the court with Drmic again and expects he'll 'be his aggressive self'.

“We’ll push the pace, play first, I like playing with him as a teammate,” he said.

“I think we stayed in touch, we spent a lot of time together at the AIS, played a lot against each other then we didn’t see each other for a long period of time.

“Then we were both back in the NBL playing against each other.

“He’s a great dude and plays with a lot of passion."

The Bearcats start their campaign against Woodville Warriors at home.
