Biography
After initially retiring at the end of NBL23 with the New Zealand Breakers, had a short stint at Melbourne United in NBL24 that was such a success that he's now back in the NBL full-time for the 2024/25 season.
Had a significant impact on the 2022/23 season at the Breakers as the back up centre on a team that was just minutes away from securing a championship.
However, the desire to be at home more with his young family led to the then 32-year-old initially announcing his retirement from the NBL after 172 games, all of 28 which were with his native Breakers.
After attending the renowned Westlake Boys High School, had a standout college career at Saint Louis University before starting his professional career in Greece and Belgium ahead of returning home to play with the Breakers starting in the 2016/17 season.
Went on to play 172 games in the NBL all with the Breakers aside from one season at the Cairns Taipans.
Despite retiring initially, joined Melbourne as an injury replacement player for the first part of NBL24 on the back of winning the MVP of the NZ NBL with the Auckland Tuatara along with being Best Defensive Player, the leading rebounder and part of the All-Star Five.
Had another strong NZ NBL season in 2024 with Auckland where he delivered 20.0 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 54 per cent from the field and 42 per cent from deep.
Now will have a big role to play with United up front alongside Marcus Lee following the departures of Jo Lual-Acuil and Ariel Hukporti.
