Antonius Cleveland wants to taste back-to-back victories for the second time this season as the Adelaide 36ers prepare to take on Cairns at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Friday night.
The 36ers last won successive games in games two and three, when they defeated both Illawarra and Sydney.
“We’d love to get back-to-back wins, we’re trying to string two or three wins together, it’s jam-packed in the middle right now," he said.
"We want to control our own destiny."
The 36ers currently sit in sixth on the table, but Cleveland believes the team is on the right track.
“It was a big win, it’s always a good win in Perth,” he said.
“It’s pretty hard to win there and the way our season has been going, it’s good to get that one.
“Even with the New Zealand loss we took steps forward defensively, we’re trying to keep teams in the 80s and give ourselves the best chance to win.
“We’re unpredictable, you never know who’s going to have a good night."
