The Adelaide 36ers Chinese Basketball Academy is an exclusive international education and basketball development program for talented young athletes from China.

Delivered in partnership between the Adelaide 36ers and the South Australian Government Department for Education, trading as South Australian Government Schools (CRICOS Provider No: 00018A) and Woodville High School the Academy combines high quality Australian education with elite basketball coaching in a professional sporting environment.

Students will improve their English, develop academically, and train with Adelaide 36ers High Performance coaches while experiencing Australian culture and lifestyle in Adelaide.

Academic & English Development

Students will study within a supportive Australian school environment while participating in the Intensive Secondary English Course (ISEC).

Subjects may include:

• Mathematics
• Science
• Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)
• Physical Education
• Special interest subjects

Academic progress is supported by experienced teachers and international student staff.

Elite Basketball Development

Students will receive professional coaching delivered by Adelaide 36ers high performance coaches, including:

• Skill development training
• Strength and conditioning analysis and training
• School and community basketball competitions
• Opportunities to meet and train with Adelaide 36ers players

Students may also integrate into Woodville High School’s mainstream basketball program alongside Australian students.

Student Wellbeing & Support

Student safety and wellbeing are core priorities of the program.

All homestay arrangements and student support services are delivered by South Australian Government Schools. All homestay families are carefully selected, accredited, and hold Working with Children Checks.
