Adelaide 36ers fans should be thrilled another stand out performance from forward Nick Marshall in NBL1 action over the weekend.

Marshall, who turned 23 this week, again led Mount Gambier, scoring 23 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, dishing three assists and collecting two steals, but the Pioneers went down 100-95 to Eltham Wildcats in their NBL1 South clash on Saturday night.

The Pioneers now head to Greensborough to face Diamond Valley Eagles this Saturday night. 

Mitch McCarron skipped the Northside Wizards' 84-80 loss to Townsville Heat, as the 36ers captain was representing Australia at the 2022 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in Melbourne.

The Boomers went a perfect 3-0 with two victories against China and one against Japan, and McCarron averaged 7.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per match.

Forestville Eagles missed the services of 36ers star big man Daniel Johnson in their 82-81 NBL1 Central loss to South Adelaide Panthers at Waylville.

Johnson is gearing up to make his 3x3 debut for Australia at the at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup in Singapore, beginning this Friday.

Kyrin Galloway will return to the court for the Mackay Meteors in their NBL1 North clash against Southern District Spartans this Friday night.
