Adelaide 36ers coach CJ Bruton said his side needs to ‘keep finding a way to improve’ after the season-opening loss to Tasmania on Thursday night at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
The JackJumpers got off to a ferocious start and led 32-10 at the first break.
“There was a little bit of disconnect and mindset and approach,” Bruton said.
“We gave up a few buckets early and thought we’d get it back.
“Coming back to the NBL, physicality is real.”
Bruton said jetlag was not a factor after returning from the NBL x NBA tour.
“It would be an excuse for me to throw that out,” he said.
“We’ve done something which was great for basketball and our league and our club, right now we need to switch into the NBL mode and be ready to go.
“Every season and every game you look at how you get better.
“Right now, we’ve got to keep finding a way to improve and little bits at a time.”
