Brett’s 17-year career saw him play for his hometown club the Adelaide 36ers from 1992 until 2009. He captained the team from 1997, won six club MVPs, played in the 1998, 1998-99 and 2001-02 Grand Final series' and was a two-time Grand Final MVP. A triple time Olympian, he represented Australia in the Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Brett’s #5 Jersey now hangs in the 36ers home venue which is also named the Brett Maher Court.

“The club has been a part of our lives for so many years. We have had success, made friendships for life and made an impact on so many kids - so we are thrilled to be involved to continue on the legacy,” Brett said.

Scott joined the 36ers in 1986 and was a part of their inaugural Championship Team. “We are thrilled to be involved with the club and engage with the community to expose basketball to young kids, giving them the same opportunity that we had as kids. We have had experiences where kids who attended the holiday and school clinics have been hugely impacted and it has turned them into 36ers fans for life!” Scott said.

Adelaide 36ers CEO Ben Kavenagh said, “Brett and Scott are both Adelaide 36ers legends. We’re looking forward to them working alongside Conner Henry and our players to mentor kids and teach them about basketball.
