Four Adelaide 36ers stars will be on the world stage next week when the Boomers play two qualification games for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup.
Big man Isaac Humphries, sharpshooter DJ Vasiljevic, swingman Nick Marshall and captain Mitch McCarron were included in Australia’s 12-man roster on Friday to play South Korea and Indonesia.
Vasiljevic said he will focus on Australia after Sunday afternoon’s NBL24 season finale against New Zealand Breakers at the Entertainment Centre.
“I hope to go in there and prove to Goorj (head coach Brian Goorjian) that I belong in this group,” Vasiljevic said.

“There has been a lot of speculation that I’m the next shooter after Chris Goulding.
“But I’m more than just a shooter, I can score, I can space the floor, but I can also play make for other guys.”
Vasiljevic said these two games are a real opportunity for all the players to stake their claim, especially with the Paris Olympics later in the year.
“I know I’m not going to play 30 minutes if I make the Olympics or World Cup, but it’s all about knowing your role and being a great teammate, and to win a gold medal,” Vasiljevic said.
“I want to experience that Boomers culture, and I really want to be an Olympian.”
The Boomers will face South Korea in Bendigo on Thursday, February 22 at 6pm ACDT before they play Indonesia in Jakarta on Sunday, February 25 at 11.30pm ACDT.
