Over 500 people attended the annual Sixers In Business major luncheon and heard from Australian business leader Mark Bouris at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday.
Trusted voice in Australian business, Bouris, was guest speaker at Friday’s annual event for the Sixers In Business program, which was developed in 2022 with the view of bringing the club’s partners and wider corporate community closer.
Adelaide 36ers Owner and Chairman Grant Kelley said it was a huge coup for the club to get Bouris to talk to the club’s corporate partners.
“I think Mark’s speech was brilliant for our partners in the room,” Kelley said.
“This event has been a major success for the club.”
The Sixers In Business group grew in 2023 and have enjoyed several unique events which culminated in Friday’s annual major luncheon.
Best known as the founder of ‘Wizard Home Loans’, Australia’s second largest non-bank mortgage lender, which he sold to General Electric in 2004, Bouris is now the executive chairman of Yellow Brick Road, where he continues his mission to help Australians access their dream homes.

Bouris said he was delighted to speak to the Sixers In Business group and he highlighted some potential challenges ahead.
“When I spoke to this group today, it’s a bit different to speaking to other groups and it was challenging in relation to my overall process,” Bouris told the luncheon.
“It made me own my own hypothesis.”
Appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2015 for his significant service to the finance industry, Bouris has a sharp financial commentary and trademark “tell it straight” attitude resonates with everyday Australians and led to his foray into television.
The former host of the Nine Network’s The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice, as well as The Mentor on the Seven Network, Mark’s time on Australian screens cemented his place as a trusted voice in finance and business.
Friday’s major luncheon, hosted by Jess Adamson, was the culmination of a successful campaign off the court for the club in 2023, which plans already in place to grow in NBL24 and beyond.
