Adelaide 36ers coach CJ Bruton was delighted with the defensive display in the 96-82 victory over the Perth Wildcats last night.
The 36ers controlled majority of the match and the significant improvement on defence from the start of the NBL23 campaign was a major talking point for Bruton.
"I thought the focus and attention to detail was very good tonight," he said.
"You win by playing defence and I thought we did a very good job on the defensive end of the floor.

"Overall, our turnover count has gone down from 17 to 18 a game, to now which has been 12 and under, which has helped us win ball games."
Offensively, the 36ers were dominant inside the paint, going 31 from 48, and Bruton was ecstatic with the 'buy in' from the group.
"Taking good shots always leads to good outcomes, even when the ball doesn't go in, it sets the tone for the group and understand what you're trying to get done," he said.
"The buy in is key and I felt I had all that from start to finish."
