Clark on Kings: 'I was looking forward to this'

Adelaide 36ers import Ian Clark said he had circled the game against Sydney Kings since the moment he arrived at the club in December.
The 190cm combo guard, who was part of the Kings’ NBL22 championship win against Tasmania JackJumpers, said it was great to finally get the game against his old team out of the way,
“I’ve been getting asked this since I got here, and while I’ve been downplaying it, I was looking forward to this game,” Clark said after Adelaide’s 115-108 win over the Kings on Friday night.
“It’s fun playing the number one seed, you want to beat them, I just like competing and I knew what they were going to bring,
“They know how I am and how I play in between those lines,
“It was a fun game and I’m glad we got the win.”
Clark said he was impressed in how the 36ers responded to a number of momentum swings throughout the victory, Adelaide swooping home with a 34-22 final quarter burst.
“We made sure we are playing for each other as much as possible and let mistakes go, correct the next time," Clark said
“I think we did that, we stayed resilient, and we got the win."
Adelaide now travels to Melbourne for a Sunday afternoon showdown with United and both sides have a chance of making the NBL finals.
The 36ers will need to win and have the Kings defeat the Wildcats in Perth and have the margins for both resuts total 43 points in Adelaide's favour to get into the top six, while a United win and a Kings victory will see Melbourne make the play-in tournament.
