Antonius Cleveland has gained bragging rights over Adelaide 36ers import teammate Robert Franks in the Israeli Basketball League overnight.

Cleveland’s Hapoel Eilat BC came back from a half-time deficit to run over Franks’ Gilboa Galil 85-74 in Begin, Eilat.

Hapoel Eliat opened with a 20-16 first quarter lead, before Gilboa Galil came storming back into the contest to take a 43-37 advantage into the main break.

A 22-13 third quarter by the home side put Hapoel Eilat back in front 59-56 with a quarter to play, and they carried that momentum to the final buzzer for an 11-point success.

Cleveland scored 19 points for the winners to go with three rebounds but it was former 36ers import power forward, Eric Griffin, who stole the show.

Griffin scored a game-high 24 points, including four three-pointers, to go with four rebounds.

Franks was one of the shining lights for Gilboa Galil, scoring 20 points, which included four from beyond the arc, to go with six rebounds.
