Adelaide 36ers can confirm import swingman Antonius Cleveland has been released from his NBL24 contract.
Cleveland used an out clause in his two-year contract to make the move to a European giant and the release was made after the contractual buyout amount was paid in full for his services.
The 198cm swingman will move to the European club with an annual player’s budget of approximately 40 million Australian dollars.
Adelaide 36ers head coach CJ Bruton said the move to the Euro League was a great opportunity for Cleveland.
“For AC, to make this change is huge for his professional career. To play Euro League is a big deal,” Bruton said.
“We wish him all the best and the club will be keeping in regular contact, AC will always be a 36er.”
The club will be making significant roster announcements in the coming days.
