Adelaide 36ers teammates Sunday Dech and Hyrum Harris will go head-to-head in the final round of the NZNBL with a playoff spot on the line.
Dech’s Canterbury Rams (8-9, 7th) will have to beat Harris’ Hawkes Bay Hawks (9-8, 4th) as the race for the top six comes down to the last round.
A win for Harris’ Hawks will see Hawkes Bay qualify for the playoffs, ending Dech and the Rams’ 2022 season.

Dech, who is averaging 18.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and four assists per game this NZNBL season, scored 15 points and dished four assists in Canterbury’s 106-55 win last round over Southland Sharks.
Harris had 10 points, four rebounds and four assists in the Hawks’ 106-69 win against Manawatu Jets.
The 198cm forward is averaging 13.4 points and 8.5 rebounds per outing after a breakout campaign during the NBL22 season.
