Prime time basketball is back in Adelaide for NBL23 and the new-look 36ers will be under the bright lights after the league released this season’s schedule on Monday.
The 36ers family has been rewarded and Adelaide will host five Friday night and five Saturday night matches this season, with the remaining four home fixtures during the school holidays.
Adelaide 36ers CEO Nic Barbato said the club is excited for NBL23 and says the fixture is a great reward for the fans.
“To have five Friday night and five Saturday night games is a great result for the club,” Barbato said.
“Every weekday game is scheduled during the school holiday period which is fantastic for our fans and families.”
For the first time in NBL history, Adelaide will host a game on Christmas Eve and Barbato said the 5pm tip off time was the ideal present.
“We are thrilled to host the Christmas Eve game,” Barbato said.
“The start time is perfect for families and the club can’t wait to celebrate the festive season with our fan base.”
The 36ers NBL23 campaign will tip-off with a home double-header on October 13 and 15, with NBL22 finalists Tasmania JackJumpers and Illawarra Hawks visiting Brett Maher Court.
“To come up against two of the benchmark teams from last season straight away is the perfect start for the club,” Barbato said.
