Four-man leadership group announced

Adelaide 36ers have announced a four-man leadership group on the eve of the club’s first NBL x NBA pre-season game in Phoenix today.

Mitch McCarron, Daniel Johnson, Sunday Dech and Robert Franks will lead the club for the NBL23 season and coach CJ Bruton is thrilled with the quartet.

“We have a returning leadership group and we added in Robert Franks, which is exciting,” Bruton said.

“Daniel Johnson, a seven-time club MVP and leader of our club, he leads on and off the floor.

“Sunday Dech, the man of the people, he leads in the community and brings the team together.

“And we added Robert Franks this year knowing that his leadership is needed for us to be successful and represent all of our international players along with Sunday.”

McCarron will again be the captain, but Bruton understands the leadership group will play a big role.

“I believe in the guys and we have the right pieces for the squad to move forward,” Bruton said.
