Adelaide 36ers power forward Robert Franks made his off-season debut for Hapoel Gilbao Galil in Israel early on Tuesday morning.
The 201cm import scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds in his side's 104-90 loss to Nes Ziona.
Gilbao Galil went into the main break level at 52-52, but a 32-21 final quarter from Nes Ziona was enough for them to get the result.
Reigning club MVP Antonius Cleveland is also playing in the same league for Hapoel BC Eilat, coming off the bench in a 90-78 loss to Ironi Kiryat Ata.
Cleveland made an immediate impact, playing 27 minutes and finishing with 14 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks.
Hapoel BC Eilat was down 20-11 at the end of the first and 48-32 at half-time, before winning the second half.
29-year-old Cleveland joined the Israeli Premier League team on an off-season deal and has vowed to return to Adelaide for NBL24.
