The Adelaide 36ers are pleased to announce the signing of Hyrum Harris for the NBL22 season.

Born in Auckland, the 25-year-old New Zealand forward stands 198cm and joins the Sixers after a strong campaign in the NZNBL for the Hawkes Bay Hawks, averaging 13.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.1 steals per game while shooting an efficient 55.4% from the field. Harris helped the Hawks to a 13-5 regular season record and an NZNBL Grand Final appearance.

A member of the extended New Zealand Tall Black squad, Harris has previously seen action in the NBL, playing 16 games for the Illawarra Hawks as a development player in the 2019/20 season and was an injury replacement player for the Cairns Taipans in NBL21.

A solidly-built left-hander who can score inside and out and play at either forward spot, Harris’s recruitment aligns with General Manager of Basketball Jeff Van Groningen’s plans to strengthen the depth and versatility of the team.

Adelaide 36ers Head Coach, CJ Bruton welcomes the NZNBL standout to the Club.  “ I'm excited to have Hyrum join our team. He can defend players 1 through 4 and has a real knack for getting into the paint and creating for others.

He’s honed his skills and applied his craft in the NZBL and I know he is excited to make an impact with his teammates”.

Hyrum Harris joins Dusty Hannahs, Mojave King, Mitch McCarron, Todd Withers, Kai Sotto, Emmanuel Malou and Tad Dufelmeier Jr. as new additions to this season’s roster, which includes existing members Isaac Humphries, Sunday Dech and Daniel Johnson.

Membership to the Adelaide 36ers are on sale, for more information click here.
