The Adelaide 36ers today announce the signing of 206cm Forward Jack Purchase.
Jack, 25, joins the 36ers roster following the foot injury to Isaac Humphries which has ruled out the towering centre for the next four to six weeks.
Jack spent time as a Development Player with Melbourne United following a four-year NCAA career. His last three years in the NCAA system were spent at the University of Hawaii where in his senior year he earned Big West second-team honours, won the team’s Art Woolaway Most Outstanding Player Award, led the team in scoring (11.5ppg), three-pointers made and was one of only three players to start all 31 games.
The son of Nigel Purchase, whose 250 game NBL career was synonymous with the Melbourne Tigers early rise, Jack followed his father’s footsteps as a junior at the club and was part of the Melbourne Tigers NBL1 South team for the 2019 & 2020 seasons.
He will join the 36ers immediately, suiting up for Thursday night’s clash against the Illawarra Hawks.
Welcome Jack!
