Blake Jones has been signed as a Nominated Replacement Player

The Adelaide 36ers have signed Blake Jones as a Nominated Replacement Player for the NBL26 season.

Queenslander Jones averaged 15.13 points, 9.31 rebounds and 2.31 assists per game playing for the Southern Districts Spartans in the NBL1 North this season.

The 23-year-old played an important role as the Spartans went on to win the NBL1 North Grand Final earlier this month, scoring 17 points and pulling down nine rebounds to go with five assists.

Jones was previously a Development Player for the Brisbane Bullets, playing alongside 36ers recruit Isaac White and working with assistant coach Luke Cann.

The 204cm forward played seven games for the Bullets in the 2020-21 season.

Tom Kubank will also travel with the 36ers to Canberra to play with the side and cover player absences for this week’s NBL Blitz.

He returns having been a Nominated Replacement Player for the 36ers last season.

The 30-year-old made his debut against New Zealand in December and in doing so followed in the footsteps of his father Graham Kubank in donning the Sixers jersey. They are the first father-son duo to represent the club.
