Playing in front of sold-out crowds at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre has sparked the already intense fire in DJ Vasiljevic.
Vasiljevic, who has played 11 games since joining the 36ers during the NBL24 season, was thrilled with the Christmas Eve win against Brisbane Bullets.
“It was a great Christmas present for everyone in Adelaide,” Vasiljevic said.
“We are bottom of the ladder, but the fans keep turning up.”

The 190cm combo guard said since joining the 36ers he has had renewed love for the game.
“The culture of the fans is they continue to show up no matter where we are on the ladder, so for me I’m going to go out there and give it my all and give the fans the enjoyment,” Vasiljevic said.
“It might be someone’s first game today, I’m very blessed to be in this position in Adelaide.
“I’m just having fun playing the game of basketball.”
Vasiljevic, who is averaging 20 points per night as a 36er, has been given added responsibility, along with import guard Trey Kell, by new head coach Scott Ninnis.
“Scotty has given us the reigns to play a bit of point guard at times and kind of lead the team and we are going to take full advantage of it and get as many wins as we can,” Vasiljevic said.
“Everyone is kind of bought into their role and Scotty’s led it from the front to let them know how things are going to be rolling moving forward.
“Everyone is giving us good minutes, guys who haven’t played the past few games, had a great week at practice and came in and gave us good minutes.
“We just got to keep building.”
Adelaide will be back at home on Thursday night when the 36ers host Perth Wildcats at the Entertainment Centre from 7pm.
