Adelaide 36ers captain Mitch McCarron can’t wait to return to the Northern Territory.
The 189cm point guard was born in Alice Springs and hasn't been back for a long time, but will be back next month when the 2022 NBL Blitz tips off in Darwin.
“I think I was three years old when my family left Alice Springs so I’m keen to get back to the Northern Territory, I think Darwin is going to be awesome,” McCarron said on The Huddle Podcast.
“There’s a lot of interest and it seems like a really fun time when the (NBL1 North team Darwin) Salties play. I didn’t get that road trip this year but teams have talked about how the games are fun, there’s a real buzz, and people are really into it.
“I hope they pack out the Blitz as well and we can set something up for the future.”
The 2022 NBL Blitz begins on September 16 with defending Loggins-Bruton Cup winn Adelaide playing South East Melbourne Phoenix.
Fans across the country will also be able to tune into the Blitz on Kayo Freebies. Kayo Freebies are free with no credit card details required. Kayo Freebies can be accessed by downloading the Kayo Sports app or visiting kayosports.com.au/freebies and creating an account.
