Former Adelaide 36ers swingman Mojave King has his chance to shine next week and potentially make his NBA dream come true.
King, along with 78 other invitees, will participate in the NBA Draft Combine from May 15-21 in Chicago.
The NBL Next Star spent two seasons in the league, his last at the 36ers in NBL22, before he decided to take his basketball journey over to the US and signed with G League Ignite for the 2022/23 season.
The 20-year-old turned down multiple offers to play college basketball from Arizona, Baylor, Oregon and Virginia, before opting to play in the NBL.
King became the second player from the NBA Global Academy in Canberra to play for the Ignite, following in the footsteps of Dyson Daniels, who was selected with the No.8 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
After 56 NBL games, King’s first season with G-League Ignite was an impressive campaign, averaging 9.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
King is rated an outside chance of being drafted, with ESPN ranking him as the 91st best player available.
