Adelaide 36ers head coach Scott Ninnis says his side needs ‘stability’ heading towards free agency.
Ninnis says he would like to ‘keep a core’ of the NBL24 roster together, which has already started with the re-signings of DJ Vasiljevic and Isaac Humphries for the next three seasons.
“Operation Isaac was a success,” Ninnis said.
“We made it very clear that when the season finished, and I got appointed that he (Humphries) was the No. 1 priority.”
“He gives us an incredible focal and he is just an incredible man, to have him on board for the next three years is exciting.”
After the key re-signings of Vasiljevic and Humphries, Ninnis is adamant the club has the ability to build out the roster with quality talent.
“Don’t worry, we have got plenty there,” Ninnis said.
“To get top level Aussie content locked away in starting positions is really important.
“We need to maintain a core team, and stop chopping and changing, bringing six, seven, eight guys in every year.”

Ninnis said he would be keen for Galloway to return after the 205cm power forward had a breakout year in NBL24, elevated into the starting line-up and winning the club’s Most Improved Player Award.
“We have five guys now locked in, which is exciting, hopefully (Kyrin) Galloway is there and a few other pieces from this year,” Ninnis said.
“To have to key positions, who are import quality, at two key positions on the floor narrows down the needs we now want.”
