Adelaide 36ers interim head coach Scott Ninnis says his side will bring the enjoyment back to playing basketball and he expects his side to start winning games.
Ninnis, who became interim head coach on Wednesday after the club mutually agreed to part ways with CJ Bruton, is passionate about reinvigorating the 36ers.
“The expectation is to still win games, I’m under no illusion, I fully expect for us to start winning games,” Ninnis told the media on Wednesday.
“We are not playing well at the moment and that has to change.”
The Adelaide 36ers Hall of Fame Legend said the side will have a new-look starting line-up and a shorter playing rotation when the club faces Cairns Taipans on Brett Maher Court on Saturday night.
“I’m passionate about using my experience and guiding this group onto bigger and better things,” Ninnis said.
“Winning games is obviously a charter, I’ll also be looking into investing time into guys like Trentyn Flowers and Nick Marshall, with an eye towards the future.”
Ninnis said his love for the club and the willingness to succeed has created an opportunity for his side to make a statement.
“This is it, I’m a 36er, it’s been part of my life for 25 years one way or the other,” Ninnis said.
“I’m excited, it’s what’s in my blood, I’m never leaving Adelaide, Adelaide is home and this is something very dear to my heart.”
