Rakocevic to miss Sydney game

The Adelaide 36ers will be without Nick Rakocevic for Wednesday night’s game against Sydney after the centre was suspended by the NBL Tribunal.
Rakocevic was charged with striking by the Game Review Panel (GRP) following an incident in the fourth quarter of Friday night’s win over Melbourne United.
Rakocevic was ejected from the game, having been deemed to have committed a disqualifying foul on United's Finn Delany.
The GRP classified Rakocevic’s conduct as intentional, high impact, and high contact.
However, during a short hearing on Monday afternoon, a Single Member Tribunal determined Rakocevic was guilty of the offence, but downgraded the impact from high to medium, imposing a two-game ban with one of those suspended for a period of 24 months.
It means he won’t play in Canberra on Wednesday night but will be able to return for Saturday night’s clash with Illawarra.
