Adelaide 36ers are excited to announce the signing of Jacob Wiley for the next two NBL seasons.
Wiley returns to Adelaide after spending the past four years playing across Europe, in Japan and most recently in Puerto Rico for Vaqueros de Bayamon.
The 203cm forward/centre said he can’t wait to be back in Adelaide and is so thrilled to have a second stint at the 36ers.
“I’m so excited man, my daughter (Layla) was born in Adelaide and I got roots in Adelaide, I have been following the team since I left,” Wiley said.
“I was watching most of the games, I kept up with the game, I was always watching on YouTube and the NBL website, I was keeping tabs on the club.”
Adelaide 36ers owner and chairman Grant Kelley said he’s excited Wiley is back in Adelaide and can’t wait to see the 28-year-old make an instant impact in NBL24.
“Jacob has already played for the club, and I love his passion for the game,” Kelley said.
“Ken Cole and I have stayed connected with Jacob since he left, and I am so happy he has returned.
“Jacob will lift the energy within the roster, the team and the club.”

Wiley spent the NBL19 season at the 36ers, where he averaged 12.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per night and the 203cm forward/centre has a mutual option on the second year of his contract.
“The fans can expect a more mature, more experienced player,” Wiley said.
“I have global experience to bring back and leadership, I won a championship (in Puerto Rico) and I want to bring that culture back to Adelaide.”
Adelaide 36ers head coach CJ Bruton says Wiley brings energy to any playing group he is involved with and wears his heart on his sleeve.
“Jacob works very hard and I’m glad he’s super excited to be returning,” Bruton said.
“I am thrilled to have a guy who can play multiple positions, with his effort to get up and down the floor, he will be able to attack at both ends.
“He’s a competitor and I think that will drive us as a group.”
Bruton said to have an import come back into the NBL helps his squad as Wiley has experienced and knows the league.
“He’s been following us ever since he left, wherever he has been, he follows us because we are a part of him and his family,” Bruton said.
“He has some unfinished business from his last time here and I can’t wait to get him here.”
Wiley joins Jason Cadee, Mitch McCarron, Isaac Humphries, Sunday Dech, Antonius Cleveland, Alex Starling, Robert Franks, Nick Marshall, Kyrin Galloway, Keanu Rasmussen, Fraser Roxburgh, Akech Aliir and Harvey White.
