Breakers next for Blitz campaign

Adelaide will be looking to continue their pre-season winning streak when the 36ers battle New Zealand Breakers at the NBL Blitz on the Gold Coast on Wednesday afternoon.
Coming off an impressive 96-64 victory against reigning NBL champions Tasmania JackJumpers on Monday, the 36ers now face a Breakers side looking to get their first win of the pre-season.
Shooting guard DJ Vasiljevic said the 36ers must continue to build from the result against Tasmania and make adjustments for the battle with the Breakers.

“We just have to keep getting one per cent better everyday,” Vasiljevic said.
“Even though we won by 30 points, we still need to touch up on a few things.
“We will watch film, have a good session (on Tuesday) and keep moving the needle slowly.
“We have to build on this first game and really change the narrative about us moving forward.”
The Breakers in the off-season signed new head coach Petteri Koponen and made a number of roster changes, including adding former 36ers Mitch McCarron and Mojave King.
“They have got a new coach, a new style of play,” Vasiljevic said.
“They still do have PJC (Parker Jackson-Cartwright), who was first team All-NBL and have added some new pieces.
“They will come out hungry and we have to be ready for that, they have lost both of their pre-season games so far.”
New Zealand went down to Sydney Kings 120-75 before they opened their NBL Blitz campaign with a 108-102 loss to Perth Wildcats on Sunday.
