Adelaide 36ers star big man Daniel Johnson was humbled by the attention his 400th game milestone attracted last week.

The 15-year veteran said the reflection of his career to date was put into perspective and the messages sent from across the world were appreciated.

“A lot of people reached out, I thought there would be a few, but it was a lot of people I hadn’t heard from for a while, so that was pretty cool,” Johnson said.

“Just how positive it was, sometimes you’re in situations where you’re not winning or playing too well and you get a lot of negative, it was nice to have a positive week.”

The 212cm big man, who likes to deflect all the attention and admiration, said the 400-game milestone was an avenue to thank all the fans and supporters.

“I thought it was important to let everyone know how grateful I was, it was pretty special,” he said.

“I haven’t done a lot of media this year, so it was good to get it done in a few days.”

Johnson said his DJ-400 t-shirts were a welcome surprise, along with his tribute video.

“I have got a t-shirt, but I probably won’t wear it out in public, that might look a bit odd and I was lucky enough to get a few for the family,” he said.
