NBL25 Development Player Fiston Ipassou was on the national stage for Forestville Eagles across the weekend as the NBL1 champions from across Australia came together on the Sunshine Coast.
The Eagles lost both their matches across the weekend, with Knox Raiders again crowned NBL1 National Champions.
Forestville opened their campaign last Friday, going down in a thriller 69-63 to NBL1 South champion Eltham Wildcats.
After going into the main break trailing by four points, the NBL1 Central champions fired in the third quarter, taking a 47-40 lead into the final 10 minutes.

But the Wildcats found their offensive groove in the final quarter to take a six-point win, Ipassou grabbing eight rebounds and scoring two points.
Ipassou had a game-high five steals on Saturday but it wasn’t enough for the Eagles, who fell 95-80 to NBL1 North champions Mackay Meteors.
Forestville stuck with Mackay across the first three quarters of the contest, but the Meteors fired in the final stanza, outscoring the Eagles 19-11 for the 15-point win.
