Kell expects 36ers to rebound against Tassie

Adelaide 36ers swingman Trey Kell has said his side “need to clean up a few areas” after Saturday night’s 99-88 loss to Perth Wildcats at RAC Arena.
Kell, who scored a team-high 25 points to go with six assists and five rebounds, said his side knows what it needs to do to get back onto the winners’ list.
“It wasn’t an X’s and O’s, or a game plan loss, it was more of the effort plays, the offensive rebounds, the second chance points, the 20 more field goal attempts,” Kell said post-match.
“When you get a talented team like that multiple chances, you have the chance to fall behind.”

The 36ers held a 38-27 lead in the second quarter before the Wildcats got the home crowd involved on the back of some Bryce Cotton shooting, the hosts going into the main break 50-44 leaders.
“That (the roar of the crowd) is just an excuse to use,” Kell said.
“Our communication was poor for whatever reason, it’s hard to pinpoint that, it’s not a noise issue, and it hurt us.”
Adelaide was outscored 26-14 on second chance points as the Wildcats pulled down 21 offensive rebounds and only committed six turnovers.
Kell said his side will work on some key parts this week in the lead-up to Saturday night’s home game against Tasmania JackJumpers on Brett Maher Court.
“We got to get back to the drawing board, get back to the basics and clean up the rebounds,” Kell said.
“We had a stretch of a lot of turnovers too, so we clean up those two things, we will be on the other end.”
