Mayen said he can’t wait for the opportunity to play on the world stage for his home land.
“It’s cool to play in the jersey and there will be a lot of NBL guys playing in the team,” Mayen said.
Vasiljevic will lead a strong Australian side who will play Thailand in Bangkok on November 21 before travelling to Goyang to battle Korea on November 24 in the qualifying process for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup.
“I always love the opportunity to play for Australia and represent the country,” Vasiljevic said.
“I’ve made it no secret I want to play at the Olympics and to be in the Boomers system.”
