36ers shine on the World Stage

Across the weekend, seven of our basketball department took part in the 2023 FIBA World Cup qualification window six.

The Boomers, who defeated Bahrain 83-51 last Thursday, and Kazakhstan 98-53 on Sunday, were led by Mitch McCarron and blooded Nick Marshall for his international debut. Jamie Pearlman was assistant coach for Dean Vickerman and Jared 'Jazzy' Campbell kept everything on track off the court as  team manager.

Sunday Dech and Deng Acuoth played three games in Egypt as South Sudan qualified for their first FIBA World Cup, and Hyrum Harris brought the highlights for New Zealand.
