New Adelaide 36ers off-season recruit Jason Cadee said he is using the NBL1 season to prepare for NBL24 and beyond.
The 186cm point guard, who signed a two-year deal earlier this month, is running the show at Gold Coast Rollers as they look to repeat as NBL1 North champions in 2023.
“It’s a great off-season environment and one I really enjoy,” Cadee said.
“I’ll use that to really build my way back into the NBL season.”
Cadee recorded a triple double of 21 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists in the Rollers’ 108-88 loss to Kyrin Galloway’s Ipswich Force.
“I have had a bit of time off since the end of the NBL season, so I’m just trying to fire my legs up a little bit,” Cadee said.
“Helps when I go back to the same crew, we have a lot of young guys there and we have some pieces coming in.”
The Rollers, who also have development player Cameron Thew in their line-up, will face Logan Thunder on the road on Saturday night before facing Sunshine Coast Phoenix at home on Sunday afternoon.
