The Adelaide 36ers and the Make A Difference Foundation (madf.com.au) are proud to continue to provide dedicated Sensory Spaces for all home games at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre thanks also to support from a grant from the Office for Autism, Government of South Australia.

The spaces have been designed with Novita to cater to a range of regulatory needs and allow all fans to be included in our game day experience! There are a range of sensory tools within the room. However, if you have specific sensory tools, please bring them with you. Please also note we do not provide headphones or earmuffs but encourage people to bring their own if required.

Dedicated Staff are based in the Sensory Come and Go Space to provide support to people utilising the space. All children need to be supervised by an adult at all times.

The Adelaide 36ers have also partnered with the Hidden Disability Sunflower Lanyard Program.

Sensory Come & Go Space-Use for Ticket holders to Adelaide 36ers home games

Entry to the Sensory Come & Go Space is located from the concourse level, then down the stairs near doors 14A. The space is available to all patrons with sensory sensitivities, for fans feeling dysregulated and needing a safe space to regulate or other hidden disabilities (e.g. autism, PTSD, dementia, stroke). There is no direct seating or viewing to the court and the space is designed as a safe space to regulate as required. There is a screen available showing the game live inside the room. You must have a valid game day ticket and seat within the arena to access the Sensory Come & Go Space as you might require. No bookings are required, although the space is not designed to be utilised the entire game by patrons and is subject to capacity. As the name suggests, this is a come and go space. We hope this space enables fans to access the space when required, but have the opportunity to return to the excitement of the game when ready. Whilst there is no specified time limit in the room, should the room reach capacity, our friendly staff may check-in to see if patrons are ready to return to the game and their ticketed seats to allow other patrons time to access the room.

Specialty Ticketed Sensory Balcony & Suite Ticketing

In addition, the Adelaide 36ers are pleased to offer a limited amount of dedicated game day tickets specifically for patrons with sensory needs and/or a hidden disability and their families or support people. Designed for families or patrons who may not have been able to experience a 36ers game day previously, these tickets provide the flexibility of watching the game live from a seat within the arena, and the option to retreat inside the Sensory Suite as required. The Sensory Suite has direct access to the match so patrons can continue to watch the game day activities live! These tickets will enable the whole family to experience a 36ers game day.

Sensory Balcony & Suite Tickets are available for application by people with sensory sensitivities or other hidden disabilities (e.g. autism, PTSD, dementia, stroke) who may expect to need a safe space to regulate during the match day event. Family and/or support persons are welcome. Guests with a dedicated Sensory Balcony & Suite ticket will be provided with a wristband on entry to allow access to adjoining seating within the arena. For other ticketed patrons, the Sensory Come and Go Space is available to support sensory needs during the event. We welcome members with sensory needs and/or a hidden disability to contact  admin@adelaide36ers.com to enquire about the Sensory Balcony& Suite Tickets and the opportunity to attend a 36ers game day.

Note to all Visitors

• All visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times whilst in the space. Family or support persons are welcome.
• The room has wheelchair access via the corporate suite-level lift. Guests with sensory needs requiring wheelchair access are advised to contact admin@adelaide36ers.com for more details or to speak to Entertainment Centre staff to be escorted for this access (Please note the lift dimensions are: 900mm opening door width and 1300mm x 1300mm floor space)
• Sensory tools will be available but please bring any preferred devices that assist with your regulation process (headphones or other ear coverings will not be available and it is recommended to bring your own if needed)
• If the room is reaching capacity our staff may request the space be limited only to a single carer/family member per individual using the room
• Staff may do a friendly check-in if the room is reaching capacity
• The sensory room is not a social or play space
• No hot food or hot beverages (alcohol is prohibited in the space)
• Water is available in the space
• The room is designed to be a quieter zone, however, with different sensory zones the room will not be completely quiet
• There will be a TV screen in the room with a muted live feed of the game, there is no direct viewing available from the sensory come and go space
• The Adelaide 36ers recognises and supports the Hidden Disabilities Flower and will provide free lanyards to collect in this space
• Toilets are available in the hallway entry or on the concourse levels
