Adelaide 36ers star forward Daniel Johnson will represent Australia at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup in Singapore, this Friday.
Johnson will join Jesse Wagstaff, Lucas Walker and Andrew Steel in his 3x3 debut.
It's the first 3x3 Asia Cup in three years, and the Australian team will be looking to defend their back-to-back gold medals in 2018 and 2019.
"It’s exciting to be back on the 3×3 stage. The pandemic made it incredibly difficult to continue international sport and it left our 3×3 athletes and staff chomping at the bit", head coach Dave Biwer told Basketball Australia.
"To head to Singapore with a new-look team and an opportunity for these players to bring back gold is simply exciting times for 3×3 Australia. Can’t wait to show our toughness, desire, and pride in wearing the green and gold.”
Australia begins their 2022 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup campaign this Friday.
