Adelaide 36ers power forward Robert Franks said he used the FIBA International break to reset as he looks forward towards the rest of the NBL23 season.
Franks, who is averaging 15.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per night, said the side is in good spirits and ready to attack the next part of schedule, which starts on Thursday night at John Cain Arena against Melbourne United.
“Everybody needed a little reset, especially how we have started the season,” Franks said on Monday.
“We have a great week of practice, just competing, getting back to the basics and getting after it.”
The 201cm forward said there was no ‘week off’ for him, spending more time on his game as he looks to continue his impressive recent form.
“For me, it was about being in the gym, obviously the weather has been a little terrible, just in the gym, fine tuning everything and getting ready to restart the season,” Franks said.
Adelaide will travel to Melbourne on Wednesday for Thursday’s game against United, then will be off to Auckland on Friday for Sunday’s clash against New Zealand Breakers.
Franks said the road trip would be beneficial for the group to get away and to continue their bond as a team moving forward.
“It’s going to be a good little road trip for us, it’s about going out there, trying to get two wins and come back,” Franks said.
