McCarron, Boomers into quarter finals

Adelaide 36ers captain Mitch McCarron has led the Australian Boomers into the quarter finals at the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup in Indonesia.
The Boomers were too strong for hosts Indonesia 78-53 on Saturday night but again had to recovery from a sluggish start.
Indonesia led 16-11 after the first quarter, but the Boomers caught fire in the second stanza to build a 10-point lead at the main break.
Australia had five players scoring in double figures and McCarron orchestrated the offense, dishing five assists, pulling down four rebounds and adding four points.

The Boomers finished top of the pool with a 3-0 record to progress straight through to the quarter final stage.
Australia will play the winner of Tuesday's Japan-Phillipines match on Thursday in Jakata.
