The Adelaide 36ers today announce the appointment of Helen Hobbins as their new General Manager Gameday & Growth, and Dale Fletcher as General Manager Digital, Media & Communications.
Helen joins the Adelaide 36ers with over 20 years of experience in the events industry, with her most recent role as General Manager Corporate, Events & Gameday Experiences at Port Adelaide Football Club.
During her time at Port, Helen managed the strategic planning and leadership of major events, game days, corporate membership groups and associated event experiences.
Prior to this position, Helen’s experience in the events industry includes working for the Adelaide Convention Bureau and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation in Melbourne where she oversaw the operations and logistics across the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix, Australian MotoGP, major music festivals, concerts, and special events.
CEO, Nic Barbato welcomes Helen to the Adelaide 36ers family.
“I’m excited to have Helen join the team and trust she will take our events and gameday experiences to the next level”, said Nic.
Dale Fletcher joins the Club with over a decade of experience in the sports media industry, with his most recent role as Deputy Sports Editor for The Advertiser.
Currently also involved with the South Adelaide Panthers NBL1 men's team as an assistant coach alongside former 36ers players Scott Ninnis and Graham Kubank, Dale will bring valuable experience with national sporting bodies, players, and industry officials to the club.
“Dale’s passion for basketball, sports media experience, and drive to achieve success is something that I am thrilled to be working with. I look forward to seeing the growth of our media reach under Dale’s guidance”, Nic said.
Both Helen and Dale will officially start their roles on Monday, 4 July, 2022.
