Cadee shines, McCarron and Marshall star in wins

Your Adelaide 36ers NBL24 roster continue to put up some eyecatching numbers in the NBL1, and last weekend was no exception.

Jason Cadee continues to rack up huge numbers in the NBL1 North competition as his Gold Coast Rollers took care of business on the road against Southern District Spartans.

Cadee had a team-high 32 points, to go with eight rebounds, nine assists and four steals as the Rollers broke the game open in the third quarter for the 101-82 victory.

Gold Coast travel this weekend for a clash against Mackay Meteors on Friday night before backing up on Saturday night against the Rockets in Rockhampton.

Nick Marshall scored 15 points, grabbed three rebounds, had three assists and three steals as Mount Gambier Pioneers made it seven wins in-a-row with a 92-79 success against Ringwood Hawks at Wulanda Recreation Centre.

The Pioneers will travel this weekend for a crucial double header against Geelong Supercats on Saturday night and then a clash against Melbourne Tigers on Sunday afternoon.

Mitch McCarron stuffed the stat sheet yet again for West Adelaide Bearcats in their 117-91 NBL1 Central win against Eastern Mavericks at Mount Barker on Saturday night.

The 189cm combo guard scored 14 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, dished six assists, blocked three shots and had two steals as the Bearcats used a dominant 35-21 third quarter to seal the win.

West Adelaide will play Central District on their Port Adelaide Recreation Centre home court this Saturday night.

New assistant coach Scott Ninnis led his South Adelaide Panthers to their sixth win of the NBL1 Central season against Norwood Flames at The Arc on Saturday night.

The Panthers had to fight back from a double-digit deficit early in the third quarter but fought back late for the 84-80 success.

South Adelaide is back at home this Saturday night at Mitchell Park when the Panthers will battle Southern Tigers.

New development player signing Keanu Rasmussen scored 14 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished six assists as his Sturt Sabres ran away in the final quarter to defeat Central District 99-59 at Starplex on Saturday night.

The Sabres outscored the Lions 37-7 in the final 10 minutes as Sturt won their fourth match of their 2023 NBL1 Central campaign.

Sturt will be back on their home court at Springbank this Saturday night when the Sabres host Woodville Warriors.
