Cleveland, Hapoel Eilat secure third straight win

Adelaide 36ers MVP Antonius Cleveland and his Israeli Basketball Premier League team Hapoel Eilat have moved one step closer to avoiding relegation after a 102-91 win over fourth-placed UNET Holon.

Cleveland, playing as a point guard, provided eight assists with nine points and two rebounds as his team produced a stellar first half to set up the win.

Former 36ers import Eric Griffin was ever present with 23 points, four rebounds and two assists.

Hapoel Eilat are in 11th spot on the table, with the same amount of wins as ninth-placed Hapoel Haifa and 10th place Ironi Kiryat Ata.

Meanwhile, Robert Franks' Gilboa Galil succumbed to Maccabi Tel Aviv 86-64.

Franks had 18 points and one rebound in the loss.
