Adelaide 36ers’ off-season recruit Anthony Drmic has been ruled out of the 2022 NBL Blitz with a knee injury.
Drmic missed the 36ers’ opening 84-76 win against South East Melbourne Phoenix on Friday night at Marrara Indoor Stadium and will be replaced in the 11-man roster by development player Nick Marshall.
Adelaide 36ers Head of Medical Tristan Chai said Drmic’s injury is not concerning, and he will be available to play in the club’s NBL x NBA pre-season games against Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder next month.
“Drmic has had a mild flare up of his knee and we are just managing him through the pre-season,” Chai said.
The 198cm swingman will take no part in Monday’s game against Tasmania JackJumpers or Thursday night’s match against Illawarra Hawks.
