Former Adelaide 36ers NBL Next Star Mojave King has been on-court with a pre-draft workouts with the Indiana Pacers and the Los Angeles Lakers this week.
King, who impressed at last month’s NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, was brought in by the Pacers along with former New Zealand Breakers NBL Next Star Rayan Rupert.
The 20-year-old left home to pursue his professional career and spent this past season with G League Ignite, teaming up with likely top-3 pick Scoot Henderson and others.
King tested as one of the most explosive athletes at the combine, ranking second among everyone who tested with a 42-inch max vertical leap, fifth in standing vertical at 33.5 inches and eighth in the three-quarter court sprint at 3.18 seconds. He averaged 9.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game at Ignite.

"Coming over to America and playing the NBA-style of play, I think it was really good for me," King said.
"I think it suites my game a little better than the international style of play. ... Just because I like playing with space, playing fast. I like shooting 3s.
"That's all the NBA is. A lot of athletes getting up and down and shooting 3s, playing above the rim and playing fast. That's what I like to do. That's how I play the game. I think it suites me well.
