Adelaide 36ers captain Mitch McCarron has led the Boomers to FIBA Asia Cup glory in Jakarta.
McCarron finished with 12 points, five assists and four rebounds as the Boomers withstood a late rally from Lebanon to win the gold medal match 75-73 on Monday morning.
Australia started on fire and took a 22-10 lead after the first quarter, the game virtually over before it began.

But Lebanon slowly chipped away, but the Boomers still led by 14 points going into the final 10 minutes.
An inspirational final quarter performance from Lebanon, inspired by FIBA Asia Cup MVP Wael Arakji (28 points), who had 15 in the final stanza, almost stole the gold medal from the Aussies' grasp.
Arakji landed his fifth three-pointer of the contest with just seven seconds remaining to reduce the margin to one point, then Lebanon quickly fouled Rhys Vague.

Vague connected on his first free throw, but missed the second, Ali Haidar (23 points) grabbed the rebound but his half court shot on the buzzer only hit the backboard and the Aussies celebrated.
Thon Maker, who was named in the tournament's All-Star Five with McCarron, had a game-high 14 points.
