Adelaide 36ers centre Nick Rakocevic has re-signed with the club, keeping him in Adelaide through to the end of the NBL27 campaign.
Rakocevic was a key part of the 36ers’ frontcourt this season, averaging 8.5 points, and 6.4 rebounds per game, while adding a physical presence at both ends of the court.
The 28-year-old played an important role off the bench to spark the side in key moments throughout the season, capped with a double-double in the deciding game of the NBL Championship Series.
Speaking on his extension, Rakocevic says Adelaide has become a place he is proud to call home.
“Re-signing with the 36ers was an easy decision for me,” Rakocevic said.
“There is something special about playing at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and wearing this jersey.
“I love the passion of the fans, the culture we’re building, and the belief this group has in what we can achieve.
“Adelaide has embraced me from day one and I’m excited to continue representing this club and this community.”

General Manager of Basketball Operations, Matt Weston said retaining Rakocevic was a priority for the club.
“Nick has proven himself as one of the premier big men in the league,” Weston said.
“His consistency and toughness set a standard for our group. He impacts the game on both ends of the floor and is someone we can rely on in big moments.
“He brings a strong work ethic and a team-first mentality that aligns perfectly with what we’re building here, and his is another key signing as we continue to shape our roster for sustained success.”
