School Holiday Clinic: Week Two Wrap

The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters made a surprise visit to the HomeStart finance School Holiday Clinics at Adelaide 36ers Arena this week.

Rock WHAM Middleton gave the sold-out clinic the Harlem Globetrotter experience on the final day of the three-day clinic.

“The clinic felt amazing, the kids were amazing, there was absolutely so much love,” Middleton said.

“Even some of the kids took the ball off me, so it’s a credit to you guys for teaching them so real good defence.”

Middleton was one of the main attractions at the Harlem Globetrotters game at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre earlier this month and he said the sold out crowd was excited.

“The fans in the stands were incredible,” Middleton said.

“There was lots of loud noises, it really helps us out.”

The HomeStart Finance School Holiday Clinic, run by Adelaide 36ers, run by club legends Brett Maher and Scott Ninnis, continue to grow at a rapid rate with the October clinics already on the horizon.

Adelaide 36ers head coach CJ Bruton said to have a player of Middleton’s credentials at the clinic was a huge treat for the kids.

“It’s awesome to have basketball back in this building and in Adelaide,” Bruton said.

“This is the generation which is coming forward and they want to be elite players and one day hopefully play for the 36ers.”

Middleton is running his own camp, the Got Game? Clinic at Lightsview on July 22.
