'They bring the physicality and battle': McCarron ahead of Kazakhstan

Adelaide 36ers captain Mitch McCarron is expecting more of a fight from Kazakhstan in Australia's FIBA World Cup Qualifier at the State Basketball Centre in Melbourne later today.
The Boomers scored a 50-97 win in Kazahkstan in November, but McCarron isn't expecting the same one-sided result.
"I'm expecting a really good fight from Kazakhstan, we really surprised them when we went over there last time, but I think they just struggled to make shots and they're going to be a lot better this time around," he said.
"They bring the physiciality, they bring the battle and play really hard, it'll be a fun one today."
Australia beat Bahrain 83-51 on Friday despite a flat third quarter, but had plenty of new faces amongst the squad, including 36er Nick Marshall, which McCarron was pleased with.
"It was good, it was a great chance to play with a new group of guys, we knew Bahrain were going to be stronger than last time we played them, but we managed to pull out a good win," he said.
"I think we need to make quick adjustments and understand what we're trying to get done offensively, keep moving the ball."
Today's game against Kazakhstan starts at 2.30pm ACDT and can be watched on ESPN via Kayo.
