Adelaide 36ers are thrilled to announce the re-signing of DJ Vasiljevic for the next three NBL seasons.
The 190cm guard said his decision to stay in Adelaide long-term was easy after being made to feel welcome since day one at the 36ers.
“This decision was a no-brainer for me, I am somewhere where I am wanted,” Vasiljevic said.
“I could have tested the free agency market, but I’m where I want to be.
“This season has been great in front of sell out home crowds and I’m looking forward to building on that over the next three years.”
Adelaide 36ers Executive Chairman Grant Kelley said re-signing Vasiljevic has been one of the Club’s key priorities leading into NBL25 season and beyond.
“DJ is not just a great player, but an outstanding young man. He has electrified 36ers fans with his talent, tenacity, and commitment,” Kelley said.
“We are delighted to have signed DJ to a multi-year deal. He will be a vital piece of or Club’s future for years to come.”
Vasiljevic joined the club in the early stages of the NBL24 season and has made an instant impact, averaging 18.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game and hopes his commitment to the club will lead to more announcements moving forward towards the NBL25 season.
“I think this Club has a great history with all the championships and past players and I want to bring that back to the city of Adelaide,’ Vasiljevic said.
“I want to give my all for the Club and the city and hopefully we can build from here, it’s exciting times.”
